HSPIN NETWORK live!
We have it now: More than a team.
For years players kept bugging me to make a team. I never felt like doing it, because I had not figured out how to keep a small group of talents motivated, and at the same time allow them to significantly contribute to the yoyoing community and to HSPIN.
In July this year, I finally launched the HSPIN NETWORK, which embodies all my hopes and thinking for a team, and it has so far exceeded my expectations.
HSPIN WORLD VIDEO 2008 - open for submissions now!
Closed for submissions.
Updated deadline for submissions: October 5, 2008! Grab any digicam or cell phone with video capabilities and submit ten seconds of yoyoing in your turf!! We are aiming to have even more submissions from even more countries than last year! With only a few weeks to go before the deadline we would like to encourage anyone with a creative moment to grab any video camera or photo camera with video capabilities to record 10 SECONDS of video outside the doorstep of their house or in their town! Be creative! Be crazy! Show us your home turf! There is nothing to lose - and it feels great to be in the WORLD VIDEO, everyone from last year tells me!
A brand new and very exclusive batch of the one and only... USA and GHOST PYRO!
Ever since the PYRO sold out in early 2007, I kept hearing retailers and players asking when we planned to make it again. Initially, I did not give much attention to those demands, because I was focusing on new development. In early 2008, I decided to respond and launched a new, but very small run of a 2008 PYRO! Here it is. Shipping nnooww!

Bearing and gap pioneer research: GORYLLA concept yoyos
A lot of discussion can be found online about the impact of bearing width and gap diameter. Many explanations exist as to how these factors affect play. None satisfied me really, so I decided to develop a few concept yoyos to get to the bottom of this and push the envelope of possibilities further!
Here they are, along with a small selection of the many insights we have gained!
This series of yoyos is called the Goryllas. There are three version with three different bearings to be able to study the real affect of bearing and gap width to play. The number after the "Gorylla" indicates the gap width and bearing diameter.
Gorylla 616: 6mm gap (!), 16mm bearing
Black, Silver and Blood Lily are all gone - further G&E innovation planned!!

Two months after the release of the Lilies - the 4th edition of our GOOD&EVIL series of yoyos - all of these high-performing beauties are gone...
The demand for these yoyos has more than exceeded our expectations. We are therefore playing with the thought of making a few limited editions and to push graphical arts further than where HSPIN has already set the mark! The HSPIN NETWORK will be heavily involved in this to reach world class!
Most exciting journey... world moving contests in the US, summer 2008 (part 2 added)
Part 2
Another blast passed. The International Yoyo Open is over and has been most successful.
So many great people, so little time
HSPIN NETWORK - Digital Collaborative Yoyo Development

Friends,
At the end of this year, HSPIN will be completely different, better, faster, more versatile, open... and we are starting this change NOW: Be prepared to hear more from the HSPIN NETWORK.
From being a very closed group of makers, we will strive to being a pioneer in collaborative, shared yoyo development.
This is a huge thing for us. Especially for me personally, giving away design input responsibilities to external talents, though seeing the first fruits from a small pilot group: This is one of our best decisions ever.
Enjoy the podcast about this unprecedented transformation and expect some radical stuff in fall/winter this year:
Size matters?
