HSPIN NETWORK - Distributed Co-Creation Platform
INTRODUCTION
HSPIN does not have a normal "team" of players, but a NETWORK of motivated, multi-talented yoyo experts. We use "distributed co-creation" to develop yoyos and influence the future of HSPIN across 15 times zones from San Francisco, USA to Osaka, Japan. Members of the HSPIN NETWORK are given the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of HSPIN, of the yoyoing community and of the sport generally.
MISSION
1. To strive to make the best yoyos for the best players through distributed co-creation, with input from a selection of players and experts in a digital community
2. To strengthen and grow the yoyoing community world wide
3. To facilitate competition with larger full-time yoyo makers by splitting the overall responsibility into self-contained elements and by distributing those elements to dedicated experts.
4. To build a network of dedicated, semi-professional, yoyo players giving them realistic learning opportunities, providing references for universities and jobs and international exposure and experience.
To be part of the NETWORK, yoyo playing skills are highly valued, but are far from being the only sought-after talent to make the Network a world class team. Skilled graphic artists, talented video experts, innovative developers, technical gurus and creative podcast/online reporters are just some of the roles that will contribute to making this a truly unique team.
What we ask for from NETWORK members is dedication, creative input and professionalism. What we can offer in return includes plenty of credit and recognition, both online and offline, plenty of yoyos to try out, compete with, own and play with, providing new releases and limited editions ahead of general availability, exclusive HSPIN-clothing, support for reasonable travel expenses, and most of all:

CODE OF CONDUCT
HSPIN NETWORK members are expected to fulfil and follow the following fair expectations:
You take the initiative
- You actively reach out to other members in the HSPIN NETWORK and seek the dialogue with the wider yoyo community
- You are innovative and come up with new ideas to make your mark on the HSPIN NETWORK, and help write the HSPIN story
- You understand that email and phone silence usually means that the other party has other commitments, and you come up with your own suggestions for next steps, send friendly reminders, and show patience with other people.
You care about HSPIN
- You genuinely love HSPIN’s yoyos and brand and you want to be a part of the HSPIN NETWORK. If you lose the love, the motivation or become disinterested, let us know immediately and provide feedback
- If there is something HSPIN can do to help YOU, or strengthen the NETWORK, HSPIN or the yoyo community, please let us know as soon as possible
- Demonstrate loyalty to HSPIN in conversations online and offline and base your statements on facts, never opinion
You represent HSPIN
- Play only with HSPIN yoyos during competitions or noteworthy public events, this is the rule for 1A, 3A, 5A, not for 2A and 4A (Off-string).
- If you happen across an online discussion that deals with negative feedback on an HSPIN yoyo, you represent by apologizing to the end user, by notifying our technical support (lars@hspin.com) and to recommend the end-user to get in touch with technical support to resolve the problem
- Behave in a polite, courteous and helpful manner, supporting the playing community and beginners
- Represent HSPIN during events; this includes wearing our T-Shirts on stage; it is appreciated if you also wear it off-stage, or if you decorate yourself with an HSPIN sticker
You are professional
- Continue to practice and improve your skills, build on your talents and try your best
- Never comment negatively about other people, ideas, brands, yoyos, teams or players
- HSPIN takes responsibility for its own errors and expects the same from you
